Vahan Janjigian in Vice President and Executive Director of Forbes Investors Advisory Institute. He is also Editor of the Forbes Special Situation Survey and the Forbes Growth Investor, and co-authored and edited the 2003 edition of the Forbes Stock Market Course.

Vahan Janjigian previously served on the faculties of several academic institutions, including Boston College, American University of Armenia, Northeaster University, and University of Delaware. His research has been published in Financial Analysts Journal, Financial Management, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Investing, andNational Tax Journal. Vahan Janjgian is a frequent speaker to retail and institutional investors on matters of investment analysis, and sometimes serves as an expert witness on issues involving portfolio management, churning, and suitability. He has also been featured as a guest commentator on radio and television programs.

A Chartered Financial Analyst, Vahan Janjigian serves on the US Advocacy Committee of the Association for Investment Management and Research. He is also a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, where he previously served on the Corporate Governance and Shareholder Rights Committee.

Each issue of the Special Situation Survey (SpecialSituationSurvey.com) recommends only one stock. The newsletter is typically 10 to 12 pages long, profiling the company and providing the background information needed to evaluate the recommendation. Forbes Growth Investor (ForbesGrowthInvestor.com) is a newsletter that relies on a proprietary, quantitative, computerized model. The model identifies and analyzes variables that are believed to be useful in predicting future stock performance. Based on this analysis, stocks are ranked relative to one another.
