Tom
Bishop is the editor of
BI Research (BIResearch.com),
and has been actively investing
in the stock market for over
35 years. Tom Bishop began publishing BI Research in
1981, with the goal to put out
an investment newsletter that
contained everything he always
wanted in a newsletter. Tom
Bishop does all the research
himself, using a fundamental
approach and the BI Ranking
System, which he developed while
earning his MBA in finance from
Cornell University. The BI
Ranking system is a weighted
index that considers Relative
Strength, EPS growth rates, EPS
surprises, PE to growth rate,
and other relevant factors.
BI
Research is a 12-page investment
newsletter which uses
fundamental analysis and
emphasizes mid to smaller cap
stocks. Tom Bishop reviews
hundreds of stocks, and boils
these down to the 3 to 5 stocks
that many services would
recommend. He then analyzes
these stocks in-depth using the
BI Ranking System to pick the
one stock for each issue that
Tom Bishop is most excited
about. The BI Research newsletter
consists of a detailed
recommendation that runs about
two pages, followed by a brief
market commentary section that
also summarizes the recommended
percentage of stocks vs. cash.
The balance of every newsletter
is devoted to updating
subscribers on every stock they
have recommended via detailed
updates every 6 weeks until a
"sell" is issued.
In addition,
a Telephone Update Line is provided, which BI Research subscribers can call
to get a recording covering the latest on what is
happening between issues. If one of Tom Bishop's stocks soars
(or tanks), odds are very good that a subscriber can call the Update
Line and find out what is going on. E-mail delivery is
also available.
