OTC Insight® attempts to identify the best performing, quality, though
inefficiently-priced over-the-counter (OTC) stocks and provide easy-to-follow
advice based on Jim Collins' experience working for a large mutual fund
company and an advance investment advisory department of a major bank. Jim
Collins combines three
analytical techniques to select stocks
and manage portfolios. These techniques include computer screening of several thousand
stocks on a regular basis to ensure
that they miss nothing worth considering, and proprietary quantitative
screens to identify those stocks with the highest alphas and lowest standard
deviation of return. The second
analytical technique is fundamental analysis of sales and earnings growth
and P/E ratios. Jim Collins also eliminates penny stocks and unproven companies, as
well as companies with a history
of management that lacks integrity. The
third analytical step is performance
analysis. This step judges the relative
strength of a stock by ranking it from
1 to 99 with 99 meaning a stock has
outperformed 99% of all other stocks
for the last given time period. (Investor's
Business Daily notes this ranking
system in a column headed RS on their
stock price lists.) The
end result is a Buy List of the top 100 stocks listed in order of
attractiveness for that month.
