Jack
Schannep is the author of
TheDowTheory.com newsletter
(also found at
TimingIndicator.com).
Jack
Schannep is a 1956 graduate of
the US Military Academy at West
Point. For 4 years, he was a jet
instructor pilot and academic
instructor in the Air Force.
From
1961 to 1968, Jack Schannep was
a stock broker with Dean Witter.
He subsequently opened and
managed the Dean Witter Tucson,
AZ offices from 1968 until
retiring as Senior Vice
President in charge of southern
Arizona offices in 1984. He had
an interest in market timing for
many years, starting with The
Dow Theory. His father-in-law
had known Robert Rhea, the Dow
Theorist of the 1930's and
author of the definitive work on
the subject, The Dow Theory.
In 1962, Jack Schannep provided
his first market timing letter
to his clients. In 1969, he
initially developed a stock
market major trend timing
indicator which, over the next
several years, he further
developed and improved. In 1977,
he began writing a personal
correspondence to his fellow
managers, stockbrokers, and
other colleagues about his
advanced market timing
indicator, and his expectations
for the stock market. This
became the "Schannep Timing
Indicator Quarterly Letter",
which he continued in his
retirement. In 1998, he made his
Letter available to the public
via the Internet.
TheDowTheory.com subscribers

on what they should be doing now. Subscribers also

TheDowTheory.com, which consists of the monthly
newsletter with an update on Jack Schannep's current
investment position, Special Reports, and Archived
Letters. A "real money" portfolio is available for
subscribers to follow or use as a benchmark.
