Dennis Slothower is the editor of the On The Money investment newsletter (OnTheMoney.com). He is also President of Alpine Capital Management and Alpine Capital Publishing (the company that owns the newsletter).

Dennis Slothower began his career in 1979 as a stock broker for Shearson Lehman Hutton, specializing in trading financial futures and commodities. During this time, Dennis Slothower developed a proprietary risk management model to manage volatility risk in the trading of financial futures. In 1986, he began applying his risk management model to equity and bond mutual funds.

In 1989, Dennis Slothower left Shearson Lehman Hutton to begin a new mutual fund money management firm specializing in mutual fund selection and risk management using the risk management models he had developed. Later that same year, he was invited by Howard Ruff to be the author of the Mutual Fund Money Letter. Dennis Slothower's money management firm later acquired the Mutual Fund Money Letter and changed the newsletter's name to Dennis Slothower's On The Money.

On The Money provides tools, strategies, and recommendations that may boost opportunities for profits while reducing investment risk. Dennis Slothower's approach includes cyclical, technical, and fundamental analysis of no-load and low-load mutual funds. On The Money also provides daily market commentary sent by e-mail, and specific market investment advice over several portfolio recommendations.
